[October 2, 2024] KGM announced that it sold a total of 7,637 units in September; 4,535 domestic units and 3,102 export units.
Monthly sales have shown a 20.3% year-on-year decrease due to fewer operating days during the Chuseok holiday.
Domestic sales were primarily driven by the Actyon model, with a year-on-year increase of 11.5% and month-on-month increase of 15%.
1,686 units of the Actyon were sold this past month, with cumulative sales reaching 2,466 units since its launch, leading an upward trend.
Due to a reduced production volume caused by fewer operating days, exports have declined by 43.7% year-on-year. However, the Actyon has started make its way to the UK and Hungary, providing a positive outlook for the remainder of Q4.
KGM is actively diversifying its global sales network, developing tailored products for each overseas market, and expanding into new markets to enhance its export performance.
Last month, KGM invited its global distributors to Korea to hold a conference, introducing the Actyon along with test drives and presentations on KGM's new brand strategy and long-term product development plans. This conference strengthened KGM's partnerships with its global sales network and established strategies to enhance export competitiveness.
A KGM official stated, "Despite the decrease in overall sales due to fewer operating days, domestic sales have been showing an upward trend thanks to the release of the Actyon model. In preparing the global launch of the Actyon, we will focus on ensuring stable production and timely supply, coupled with differentiated marketing strategies and stronger market responsiveness to increase sales."
