- Plans to strengthen global market strategies with the release of new models in Europe, strong production system centered around the new Actyon, and aggressive market response to increase sales volume

[September 2, 2024] KGM announced that it sold a total of 8,128 units in August, including 3,943 domestic units and 4,185 export units.

This performance reflects a 24.9% year-on-year decrease due to reduced working days from summer vacations and continued economic downturns that have resulted in a decrease in domestic sales.

Domestic sales showed a slight increase compared to the same month last year due to the launch of the Actyon model, which has been well-received in the market, setting a record for the highest pre-order volume in KGM's history with 780 units sold within five business days of its official launch.

With increases in the sales of the Torres EVX in Turkiye and other countries, exports have shown a year-on-year increase of 2.7%, and a 2.4% cumulative increase compared to the same period last year.

Last month, KGM Chairman Jea-sun Kwak visited Turkiye to meet with local distributors and discuss sales and cooperation strategies to strengthen the company's exports. Also, a conference was held in Germany to review the launch schedule of the Actyon model and discuss operation strategies for the German market.

In Turkiye, sales have significantly increased since the launch of the Torres EVX in March; KGM was able to secure 11.6% of the Turkish EV market by the end of the first half of the year, ranking third overall.

Additionally, the European sales corporation is set to start sales operations this month, with plans to sequentially launch new models and implement differentiated marketing strategies to target the European market.

A KGM official stated, "The Actyon has been continuing a strong sales momentum, starting off with 780 units sold within just five days of its launch. Along with the launch of new models through the European sales corporation, we will strengthen our global market presence. We plan to increase sales volume through aggressive strategies, including the establishment of a strong production system centered around the Actyon and various market plans."
