[August 1, 2024] KGM has sold a total of 8,313 units in July - 4,237 units in domestic and 4,076 units in exports.

The overall sales for July saw a 23.4% year-on-year decrease, primarily due to a decline in export volumes caused by the slowdown in global electric vehicle demand.

On the other hand, domestic sales have shown a year-on-year increase of 4.8%, continuing a recovery trend for three months; this was supported by the introduction of various improved models and enhanced customer engagement.

In the first half of 2024, KGM launched several improved models, including The New Torres, Torres EVX, and Korando EV taxi models, and the Torres EVX Van. To enhance customer interaction, the company also opened the KGM Experience Center, offering various driving experiences.

The newly unveiled Actyon also received positive feedback, surpassing 16,000 pre-orders on the day it was revealed and 35,000 orders within the span of a week.

The Actyon is KGM's newest stylish, urban SUV in a dynamic coupe style, offering a spacious interior and plentiful load capacity. Its interior design is characterized by a slim and wide, ergonomic concept, combining luxury with a high-tech feel.

Export sales, which had been on the rise, have shown a year-on-year decline of 40.1% due to a fall in EV demand in the European and Middle Eastern markets. However, net export sales have risen by over 11.2% compared to last year.

KGM plans to expand the launch of new models, which began in the Latin American market during the first half of the year, to its key markets in Europe and the Pacific in the second half. The company aims to strengthen its aggressive marketing strategies through increased information sharing and strong collaboration with local distributors.

A KGM representative stated, "Despite the year-on-year decrease in export sales due to the global slowdown in EV demand, domestic sales have been on the rise; we believe the newly launched Actyon will further support this domestic sales growth. We will continue to focus on differentiated marketing strategies and market response to increase sales in the second half of the year."
