Ssangyong Motor has expanded its engine production capacity to 360,000 units per year, with completion of its new engine plant construction in Changwon, South Kyongnam Province.
With an investment of 180 billion won, Ssangyong has established a new manufacturing facility to only produce common rail diesel engines, next to its current engine factory.
The fourth largest automaker in South Korea Wednesday held a ceremony to mark the completion of its second engine plant and celebrate to hit the 1-million-unit engine production at the first Changwon plant since begging of its operation in 1994.
